The Catalina Island Museum offers a variety
of programs to engage and enrich adults, children and groups.
Take a tile walking tour, bring your class for a visit or come to a
lecture on one of the many exciting aspects of Catalina history.

History Walk--Join us for our new History Walk
and learn about historic events and landmarks like the Hotel St.
Catherine, the Fire of 1915, the steamship greeting, the Holly Hill
House and so much more!
When: Every Tuesday and
Saturday, 2 p.m.

Where: This 75-minute tour starts at the Casino
and ends at the foot of the Pier
Cost: $10 or $8 for museum members/children.
Includes gallery admission.
Kids Hands-On History Workshops-
Thanks to funding from Blanny Avalon Hagenah
we are able to offer hands-on workshops for kids once a month.
Held on Saturdays at the US Bank lobby, kids make murals, Spanish
galleons out of milk and juice containers, puppets and more! Stay
tuned for details on the next workshop!

Lectures — The Museum
hosts evening lectures several times throughout the year but for a modest
fee we can bring the lecture to you! Whether on-island or
mainland, our Speakers Bureau will travel to your location and deliver a
30-60 minute lecture and PowerPoint slide show at your venue.

~ Pottery & Tile of the Magic Isle
~ Hurray for Hollywood: Catalina's Hollywood Era

School Classes
— We
love to share Catalina’s history with kids of all ages.
Call ahead to arrange a visit. Our trained docents can present
a unit to your class or assist your students during a more informal
visit. We also have questionnaires already prepared if you’d
like to give your students a worksheet tailor-made for our exhibits.

Private Groups — A variety
of events can be arranged for your group. A private walking tour
through Avalon or a lecture on a specific topic at the museum or your
venue, even small receptions can be booked at the Museum. Please
